I've read a lot of the posts about oil pan installation and have checked and aimed nozzles, cleaned pan. Sealing surfaces are good. I was already to go when a question came to mind. Is a seal or "o" ring required where the oil pipe slips into the oil line in the pan? It seems a tight fit but a seal would improve flow to Babbitt bearings. Nothing in the gasket set looks close. I don't think I've ever seen any kind of gasket or seal on the oil pan/block junction. Somebody probably needs to do some experimenting with an O ring around the male part of the joint to see if it makes a difference, but other than watching oil pressure, how would you measure it? Jerry
