What is the Torque for the 4 bolts oil pump cover ?

The Shop Manual does not give a torque value.

Does the pump cover gasket need any gasket forming material ?

Thanks in advance. Michael...

They're standard Grade 5 1/4-20 bolts- - - - -8 ft/lbs. (96 in/lbs) or so should be plenty. A drop of blue Loctite on the threads would be a good idea. I'd install the gasket dry, although the later V8 pumps don't use a gasket at all.

Thanks again Jerry. Torqued bolts to 8 ft./lbs. with a drop of blue Loctite and tightened pipes finger tight + 1 turn. The gaskets are very thin.
