The Shop Manual does not give a torque value.
Does the pump cover gasket need any gasket forming material ?

(96 in/lbs) or so should be plenty. A drop of blue Loctite on the threads would be a good idea. I'd install the gasket dry, although the later V8 pumps don't use a gasket at all. Jerry

| | | | Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 433 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 433 | Thanks again Jerry. Torqued bolts to 8 ft./lbs. with a drop of blue Loctite and tightened pipes finger tight + 1 turn. The gaskets are very thin.
