My truck has the number 151 painted on the left side of the upper firewall, it came from Wisconsin plant, could this be the 151st made in 1949? I know they made 83,840 trucks that year, but how many were made in Janesville? Thanks Bill

Thinking it might be an old unit fleet number from a previous owner / business....
Still very cool..

I was born and raised in Janesville Wi. I still live only 15 minutes from there. My 53 3600 3/4 ton was built at the Janesville Plant too. Sorry I don't have any info on your question though.

The VIN numbers began at each plant with 1001 I believe, so subtract this number from your vin no. should tell you where your truck is in the total run. Others may come along with more detailed info on this subject. Best of luck
Jim
