| | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 123 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 123 | I removed a 216 engine with 4 speed out of my 1950 3600. I have a donor motor which is a 235 from a 1956 Belair which was an automatic. I want to put the 4 speed behind the 235. My questions are:
which pilot bushing should I get?
what about pressure plate? match the one from the 216 which is 10 3/4"
anything else I should look at?

Maybe someone knows a part-number/supplier for the correct pilot bushing for the Powerglide engine?

'47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.
