Jim,
The cab mounts are all brand new, and I just mounted my cab, however, I have not yet adjusted the cab per the manual. The thing is, if the cab position needs to move, it will be the rear end coming up, which will makes things even worse as far as firewall clearance...we'll see.
Ed, yeah, I didn't see anything in the manual. I'm thinking that the lever that goes into the starter is worn on the side that bottoms out when the gear is retracted... if adjusting the cab doesn't do the trick, then I'll have to pull the lever out to take a look at it. There is plenty of clearance between the arm and the switch, however, the starter gear begins to slide out on the shaft the instant the pedal is depressed- I sure wouldn't want to get the gear too close to the flywheel ring gear teeth! I could always shorted the link between the bell crank and the lever?
Thanks guys.
