do you guys know if the standard body mount bushings available for 1/2 ton trucks are the same as a big bolt. i am looking at the kits and i don't know if it is right. i can only see the rear cab mounts on my truck and they have a rubber donut shaped bushing between the cab and the mount and one below the mount. this is one link but i can't tell what's in the bag
jim carter cab mounts

this is a link from eBay that clearly shows the parts.

Gene,

Your truck should have very thick rubber cab mounts that are about 1-1/2" thick. There are 4 bushings needed, two on each side, they sandwich the frame cab mount allowing both up and down motion as the frame twists under heavy load.

I got a hunk of scrap rubber from a local rubber supply company that they sell for the bottom edge of snow plow blades. Turns out it was the exact thickness needed and I used a hole saw to cut the round bushings out.

Gene,

I've never taken a 58/59 cab off of a frame, but the 55-57 cabs ALL have the same Anti-Squeak Rubber Pad about 2" square and 1/16" thick. I assume you would have the same.
