I would like to use the original type screws and bolts. No doubt, a number of you will know what type fastener, were used for the Window Regulator, Door Lock Remote Control, Vent Window Assembly and the Glass Run Guide Channel. Were they Clutch Head, or Phillips Head screws? Or, a combination of both?
Happy Independence Day to you all.
Thank you in advance for your help, advice and guidance.

I believe the vent windows take hex head bolts. Glass run channel guides used clutch head screws at the bottom. I don't know about the top screws. I have only seen Phillips head screws there, but I am sure that I wasn't the first one to remove/replace those.

If I would have any idea the length of time it would be, when I got ready to replace them, I would have paid more attention. Probably not the first guy to say that, nor the last.

I pretty sure that the channel guides at the top of the door and internal window frame cover use a #6, I purchased extra bolts. I can send you the size once I get home. For some reason, I am thinking it was mainly 7/16 x 20 but I can confirm if no one else chimes in. | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 2,194 Moderator: Interiors, Texas Bolters, Name that Part | Moderator: Interiors, Texas Bolters, Name that Part Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 2,194 | Ok, the hex head size was what I was thinking. After looking, the bolts on my door were 5/16-18 (vent window to door inside door) and 1/4-20 (external lower vent window to door and all door latches, handles, etc.). Sorry, I don't have any extra bolts that held the channel inside the door. The upper channel (flexible) and the top of the vent window was a #6 bolt (if it was loose, I used a #8 to secure).
I hope that this helps a little bit. I just put my doors together within the last month. If you need any other door bolt size, just ask.
FYI, this was on a 51 3100.
