Their web site seems to be up but I can never reach them by phone. Do they really exist?

We are still trying to confirm if theyve been bought by Classic Parts of Kansas City. I recently bought a part from American Classic Truck Parts and when it arrived the box and packing slip both indicated the order was fulfilled by Classic Parts. So the answer would seem to be they have. | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,983 Sir Searchalot | | Sir Searchalot Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,983 | KC website has been changed to have same search format and same part numbers as Riverside. KC now has same return policy as Riverside. I think Riverside, MO, Classic Parts of America has taken over KC, MO, (was Texas) American Classic Truck Parts.
Tomctomc's agreement with John is confusing. (but only to me). These two companies both have "Classic Parts" in their name and sometimes It's hard to describe one over the other. One has "America" in the name and the other has "American". They could not have confused us more but it happened way back when "Chevy Duty" was deemed a conflict with GM or whatever.

Merchant: CLASSIC PARTS OF AMERICA State: Missouri 64150
tel: 800-7411678, a reverse lookup comes back as CLASSIC PARTS OF AMERICA
American Classic Truck Parts is in Texas, and their toll free number is 800-462-2298

Both in MO. Texas site links to here when you click on "website". Riverside, MO is 6.4 miles from KC, MO. Guess who else is in KC, MO FYI: I just noticed that Jim Carter has no physical address anywhere on his website? Used to have it. It looks like The Texas Co. was taken over by the Riverside Co. and moved to KC.

It seems KC is becoming the hub of Chevy truck parts. Good for me I guess since I live in a suburb of KC. Their phone number (not the 800) has a 940 area code, which is Texas. But their mailing address is KCMO. I ordered a few parts on line, so we'll see how that goes and where it comes from. I recall forum members got a 10% discount but could not see how to enter that on the order, which is why I was trying to call them. Hopefully we can solve the mystery.

Chevy Duty Drive is the street that runs along the west side of Classic Parts of America's building. Therefore I must conclude that they are now one in the same. I thought something was up when I visited both sites and found the same part numbers and prices. Although I've purchased from both in the past, I found American's website layout more user friendly as the photos of the parts were very good and detailed. Oh well, another one bites the dust, or progress I suppose but it doesn't help us as far as competition goes. Hopefully Classic Parts will maintain the fair prices and good service that I've previously enjoyed from them.

Service and price wise. I believe the other company had a minimum order.

When I ordered from the parts from American Classic Truck Parts I got an email acknowledgement from them. I then got an order acknowledgment from Classic Parts of American. The parts showed up 3 days later, not bad. They came in a package from Classic Parts of America, 1 Chevy Duty Dr, Riverside, Mo., which is basically in KCMO. I called the number on the packing slip and confirmed they did buy American Classic Truck Parts. They will give a 5% discount to Forum members.
Thanks for the replys, hope to meet some of you in September.
