Just curious...Most of the colors I've seen on the big bolts are original colors (green or grey). Has anyone considered, if not there yet, or have already painted there big bolt a more modern color? I've seen alot of light duty trucks at the truck shows with a copper or bronze color and it looked beautiful! We were thinking about having the truck painted copper. My wife does alot of airbrushing and she suggested airbrushing a copperhead snake skin on the entire dash. That's the route we'll prolly go with. Like I said, just curious if anyone else tried something other then the traditional colors.

Theres quite a few trucks I've seen with the copper like colors you mention. One of the guys on another forum has a 58 GMC with a copper paint job. Another guy there has a 55 Chevy with a candy orange color...I think its looks great but my 59 Apache will be painted turquoise (original color) I guess I'm just old fashioned!

Coppertone was one of the 11 exterior colors available in 1953. Interior color is another matter (one interior color, depending on the model).
