old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 56 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 56 | I'm putting the grill, lower radiator cowl, and the front fenders together. What a PITA! To top it all off, the radiator support frame may need to move forward, because I can't get the lower cowl to line up right. The body side pieces under the radiator frame are like swiss cheese - bunches of holes from different mounting positions). Anybody out there have any advice? Any particular order of assembly work better than others? I can't wait to start fitting the hood, once I get this mess figured out. | | | | | | Anonymous Unregistered | | Anonymous Unregistered | Make sure you have the correct spacer pads under the cab mounts and radiator core support mounts. I assembled the inner and outer fenders together with the main fender brace and then attached them to the cab and core support. Take your time and have another set of hands to help. It is not easy with two people and probably impossible with only one. | | |
