For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 1 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 1 | Hi all, I'm new to the forums, though I've been lurking in the background for hours reading through the posts. I recently acquired a big white 1971 cheyenne c20 to use as a work truck. It's somewhat beat up (and unfortunately not stock) and I hadn't planned on doing much to it, but the more I drive it, the more I see this one thing that I want to fix, and this other thing that I want to replace, and maybe I should do a few other things...which is how I ended up here. I don't have any mechanical experience on cars/trucks, but I figure things out pretty easily and have gotten some great info here. On to my question...has anyone used any of the Shimrins pearls color coat paint (by House of Kolor)? I found a great color I'd like to use on the interior of my truck and wanted to make sure it isn't a crummy product. Thanks for all the info in the forums! I have no clue about Shimrins Pearls, but I plan to paint my truck a "Shimmering White" color (of as yet undeterminate manufacture) so I'll be watching this post. | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 35 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: May 2006 Posts: 35 | i'm currently in the process of painting my '66 shortbed fleet white. no shimmering or pearl though..... i'm going for the 29.95 a gallon rustoleum from home depot.
i hit my '73 suburban with it years ago and it turned out good enough for my standards. i even found a color shade card that closely matched the sky blue of my '73 pickup and had the hd paint guy mix up a quart of white with enough tint to match when i needed to paint my new hood.
