Hi all, I'm new to the forums, though I've been lurking in the background for hours reading through the posts. I recently acquired a big white 1971 cheyenne c20 to use as a work truck. It's somewhat beat up (and unfortunately not stock) and I hadn't planned on doing much to it, but the more I drive it, the more I see this one thing that I want to fix, and this other thing that I want to replace, and maybe I should do a few other things...which is how I ended up here. I don't have any mechanical experience on cars/trucks, but I figure things out pretty easily and have gotten some great info here. On to my question...has anyone used any of the Shimrins pearls color coat paint (by House of Kolor)? I found a great color I'd like to use on the interior of my truck and wanted to make sure it isn't a crummy product. Thanks for all the info in the forums! Kris

Kris,
Welcome to the 'bolt! I have no clue about Shimrins Pearls, but I plan to paint my truck a "Shimmering White" color (of as yet undeterminate manufacture) so I'll be watching this post.

i'm currently in the process of painting my '66 shortbed fleet white. no shimmering or pearl though..... i'm going for the 29.95 a gallon rustoleum from home depot.

i hit my '73 suburban with it years ago and it turned out good enough for my standards. i even found a color shade card that closely matched the sky blue of my '73 pickup and had the hd paint guy mix up a quart of white with enough tint to match when i needed to paint my new hood.
