Yes had top plate off and shifter out. All went back together no problems.

'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed. '55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.

Also the throw-out bearing length as mentioned. | | | | Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 127 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 127 | with engine off, will shift through gears no problem. with engine off, in gear, push in clutch and cant move vehicle. will check length of throwout bearing.
