I let it run to make sure it seemed ok,then filled it with water to check for leaks(none, wow)
Afterwards I realized the charger was on 12V ,os I tested again on 6V . It ran,not as fast The motor did not get hot or smell when on 12V.
Will this work correctly,or should I use 6V ?? | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,059 Renaissance Man | Renaissance Man Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,059 | Is it a 6V or a 12V motor?

There are couple of other post with replacement motors suppliers in 6 and 12 volts.
I decided to run my 6 volt on 12 volts using a ballast resistor to reduce the voltage. The resistor sitting in the air stream. | | | | Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 465 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 465 | I have the ballast resistor, but I also have a rheostat switch I could use to adjust speed.
Not sure what voltage motor actually is. | | |
