Now that the wife is going to a rehab closer to home, I'll have some extra time to work on the carb, locate an alternator and check out the three starters.And will need to change out the cam.

The LDT may not enter the first start contest due to a change in plans.
When looking for a cab for Hambone I found a 65 one ton with a rough body but a good sounding 292. The price was good, so I bought it and should be street legal in about a week.
Then there is also an auction next Saturday with a 49.
A member in N.C. is interested in that one.
If we get it, it may be ready for a first start.
Guess I won't know what will be on the trailer till about a week ahead of the event.

Transmission, carrier bearing, and 4:11's are installed as well.

First start with a rope.
Guess I need to think this out some more and get off my butt, to make it happen.
No charger will be required, just a old 6 volt battery that may still have some juice in it.

I think I have that same knife, or was it a Colt or Ruger.

Is that a challenge to the first start of a 235 in over 15 years?
I'll have to check if this 235 has the crank shaft set up for the hand crank.
Remember, this will be a first start in many years of a motor, that is sitting on a homemade wooden frame.
Not a warmed up motor, in a truck and a crank handle.
Although that would be a good thing to watch also.
How about a roll start game, start line and who starts in the shortest distance?
We'll let the supreme council decide what games we will play.
Sweet is with the LDT, and there also may be an ace in the hole on our side.
Jerry, Alvin, I'm digging deep and will need you guys.
