I am not sure how to find a part and it is a body part so I went to this link.
first this is a 46 1/2 ton. I took the floor and toe board out this weekend, the left (where the high beam switch mounts) and right side where the toe board screws into is a bit rusted, I was looking for replacements but am having problems evan finding a name or part number for this, can anybody help identify? and if yes maybe a vendor that carries the product. I am think of making my own replaement but it would be much easier to purchase.

Well, after furhter research I found a break down of parts for the cab and it looks like this part is not available. When I finish making this part from scratch I will take pictures of before during and after in case anybody is interested in how to fix this.

I just got done working on the 46..I think I know which part you are talking about...I think you mean the floor piece that is spot welded to the cab, right about the front cab mounting bolt area?

I have not seen that in replacement part form. My only suggestion would be to find a cab that is headed for destruction and pull them out. My spot weld on the passenger side let go and I need to finish it off and get it put back in.

Not sure if you found this to be true on your truck, but underneath this panel, the void areas were full of dirt and gravel. I can tell what my truck did for a lifetime...still lots of North Dakota grain still being hauled around in that cab! I can try to post a picture tomorrow, but am off to work right now.

Thanks for the response, you are correct in what area I am talking about, it looks like a good place for dirt and water to sit around in these areas to create rust. The passenger side is not to bad just needs a little work but the drivers side is half gone. It doesn't look top hard to make a replacement just may take a bit of time. That is a good idea about finding used.

Hey guys, I'm not sure what happened to 3/4toncruiser I hope he is ok. but anyway I had some time to work on my truck today and decided to try and make a replacement part. It took me about 3.5 hours of cutting,bending and welding but I now have a rust free part that looks pretty good. If anybody needs one of these parts you should try and make it yourself it's really not that bad and kinda rewarding when your done, as soon as I get a chance I will post the results

If anybody is interested here is a couple of pictures of before during and after, I still have a few things to finish and my welds are ugly but a good grinder will fix that. I set the part in my truck to see how it will look and it looks great. I need to clean and seal everything before I put this in. The sad thing is nobody will ever see this part after the carpet goes in.
