Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 442 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 442 | How do you tell the difference between a truck hood ornament, which should have the slot under it for the center strip? and the hood ornament for a Chevy passenger vehicle. Looking for on on Ebay, not sure about the difference. Thanks! | | | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 23 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 23 | There is no comparison. I have seen '48 Chevy passenger car hood ornaments on trucks. You grind some until it fits, but it has been done. The truck hood ornament was made only for trucks and Chev's of the forties, Jim Carter, American Classic all have them. Anyway the passenger hood ornament wasn't used on the trucks and vice verse. Go to one of the vendor websites and see what the truck hood ornament looks like. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | | | | | | | Anonymous Unregistered | | Anonymous Unregistered | | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | | | | | | | Anonymous Unregistered | | Anonymous Unregistered | | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | if it fits the hood, and ya like it .....
