We need to put on a stand/cradle with wheels until we can get it put into the truck. I've seen the one in the tech area... http://www.stovebolt.com/techtips/engine_dolly.htmlI don't think this will work with the transmission attached. What are our options? I don't want anything with any chance of tipping over. With our luck, it will. Thanks!

I have my 235 sitting in one I built from the tech tip. The thing is stout, the weight of the engine itself should counter balance the transmission.

Also, do not use low-rated wheels - probably no less than 500lb or 600lb load-rated wheels (each wheel) should be used?
An SM420 weighs around 150 lbs (without u-joint/housing).

I think we'll just try to remove the transmission as suggested. I have a box of wheels from some old wheel dollies. I'm not sure of the load rating on those.

Just be sure you go by the dimensions and it will fit like a glove. There is another post regarding wheel size which you should find helpful.I bought some that were too small before that was posted.
