A friend of mine is restoring a 1947 (2nd Series) 1/2-ton pick-up (116 inch wheelbase), and he is having trouble with the emergency brake cables. The cables available from many of the suppliers, although listed as correct, do not work. Does anyone out there have any suggestions?

If you just need the 1/8" cable of correct length anywhere, procure the cable and the ends can be put on as follows: Drill a quarter inch steel rod to 1/8 inch hole of proper length. Use a Nicopress tool and crimp twice or appropriately. Mig or Tig end
I have a large nicopress which does you lttle good but will help if possible. | | |
