I purchased an after market turn signal assembly for my 57. When engaging it, I have to hold the turn signal down or up while using it. It won't stay engaged
Anyway to fix it or should I order another? Would of course rather have an old NOS one.

Thanks

Jon

Bad unit, return it and get another (or a different brand).

Jon,

Had the same experience with an aftermarket "China made" turn signal switch. The plastic holding the internal spring was broken. Switch ended up in file "13." Spent the money on a Signal Stat switch which was more heavy duty and have had no problems. Learned my lesson again...Get what you pay for.
