Is it even possible to get new sheet metal metal fenders for these trucks? I don't want fiberglass, and I've got a couple fenders that are almost not worth the effort of patching.

Sometimes NOS fenders show up, but that is rare. As far as I know none are being produced as reproduction items, other than the fiberglass versions. There are or were some used ones listed for bid on eBay within the last week or so.

Metal used front fenders are more available than the rears. At the time I couldn't find rears. If you go with fiberglass R&R Fiberglass gave me the best deal. Good luck with your search and have fun

But you'd be missing out on all the fun. grin
I patched up both my AD rear fenders, including free forming a 6" x 12" patch panel for the rear portion that was rusted away, the mounting flanges, and a few other spots. Sometimes it's just what you have to do. ohwell

That's true! I can do small patches, but the right rear will require re-doing almost the entire back half of the fender. I'm not sure I can form the metal into the original shape.

Andy, I order my rear fender patches from a guy named Ray at [email protected] my rear fender need a lot of work including the rear of the fender which was gone, but he had all the stuff I need to fix them. He also has a lot of the patches for other area of the 41 - 46 truck send him a email and if you have a pictures of the fender showing all the bad area he can help. Good Luck Jerry
