I have decided to painstakingly chronicle my restoration so future restorers can follow along. Please check in often for updates as I try to post in real time.

Excellent work on documenting your restoration. There are two or three items in there that I will use in the future.

Thanks!

Is your blog hosted on a free blog hosting site by Google?

Very Impressive.

Well, as usual life and money got in the way of my project and the truck sat idle for awhile.

I am back on the job now and I have updated my blog with the replacement of the emergency brake cables.

Once again I hope to finish this project before may 2018. I have the running boards at he body shop now and that will be followed by the fenders.

I have no idea what this is referring to.

Jeff, you will find that our most gracious leader has a very wry sense of humor. I think he’s referring to your linking folks away from Stovebolt to view your blog instead of documenting your build in the DIY or Project forums within our house. If I’m wrong I’m sure he will chastise us both.😎

Ok, I don’t want to cause any trouble. I just find that blogger is a very convenient way to post photos and document the project in chronological order. Not sure why it is any different than photobucket. I make no money from the blog and as you can see it contains no advertising of any kind.

I asked that my post be moved to project forums but they did not allow that.

It takes me a lot of time to take the pics while I am restoring the truck and then I have to spend extra time writing the blog and transferring the pictures to it.

I do it for all of the fellow truck restorers that come after me who may want a guide on how to restore a truck. I am an amateur and this is my first truck restore. I have found that so much I need to know is not written anywhere. I want to save the next guy all of the trouble and research that I am doing.

Jeff,
I think you meant to say fun and relaxation.

Great Blog.

Jeff,

Great blog. I do the same thing, for exactly the same reason. I'm a noob at all of this, so as I figure stuff out, I try to document it. I'm hopeful it will help someone else down the road. I also tried to get my blog added to the link list, but it never happened. Just an oversight, I'm sure. Anyway, I put a link in my signature. Occasionally, people take a look. It's all good, either way

I need warm weather to get here!!!!! I really want to get my truck on the road by May and I have some paint work to do outside. This Winter is holding on far too long.

I do have some new updates. I’m getting close.

Great blog/resource. I have a '51 and will certainly follow along over there.

Hi Paul, I just looked at your blog and you have done a very nice job. I love your commentary and your use of pictures. That will be a very nice truck.
