Today I went to continue assembling the tranny and find that the syncro`s will not turn even tho I can turn the snap rings. They are frozen. ...Could the bronze liner that the syncro`s sit in have swelled causing this problem ???

All looked good...about an hour later the synchro froze up again just sitting on my bench.... Maybe there is some chemical on the bronze lining in the assembly drum causing it to bind similar to what dissimilar metals do. I will clean up the bronze lining with acetone tomorrow and report back. Any input is appreciated. How much play or rocking should there be in the synchro`s in the assembly ????
