I read back through it and I guess maybe the internet just doesn't translate well? I said a wrong word, people joked about it, but in a polite, joking way. I'm really confused as to why someone would "report" that as a rant.

Actually, I don't think the moderator did anything strange at all. Someone mistook a side conversation and joke about atomic particles as a rant and turned it in. The moderator was just doing what was best.
