Is there a parking brake release rod in 1958? | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 | It is a shift rod for a column 3 speed shifter. The smooth straight end goes through the "loop" clamp at the top and can be slid up or down till the neutral gate is correct and then the locking nut is tightened.

Is there a parking brake release rod in 1958? I couldn't find a pic of the mechanism but here is a pic that shows the handle running horizontally under the dash to the left of the steering column. There is fork that threads on to that thread end. | | |
