I am going to put in a small block chevy motor. Has anyone else done this. My question is will an HEI distributer fit up against the firewall? will there be enough clearance? or should I order a smaller body distributer when I order the engine. I am interested to hear where you go with yours. That way you know you will be ok.

A side mount bellhousing will let you bolt the small block to your manual trans. Just need to add front mounts to small block.
