One item of note was that the core support spacers was so far off that the hood sides overlapped the cowl. Look through this link, it's how I addressed it. I was trying to avoid the wrong height issue with the rest of the front clip.

However I used a 3-3 1/2" carriage bolt from the top down thru a 1/8" rubber piece, 1/8" plate steel, both drilled to match radiator support thru what I think was valve springs, another 1/8 rubber into crossmember. This was what I removed other than the rubber mounts which I cut out of vinyl baseboard. You still may have to adjust up or down to to fit front assembly. Hope this helps. Have fun and good luck

Maybe a search here in the Stovebolt will yield the info?
