The numbers on the title don't necessarily mean anything. Title might not even belong to this Truck. Post the actual numbers on the door jam or under the hood on the cowl and for engine identification we need the numbers on the flat boss just to the rear of the distributor. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 9 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 9 | will due for sure thanks for the help. ill look tomorrow. this truck has always been in the shed, the origanl owner died and the truck was giving to a family member, i have then bought the truck from there. the title says 47. but looking at pictures it looks like a 46. the hood is a 2 piece, ( that folds up from sides ) has push button starter on the floor, and has the lever on the gear shift you have to pull up to put in rev. both windows still roll up/down, the seat has a cover over it. What area of Missouri are you in?
With the split, fold up hood, that should be a early 47 production, titled in 48.
GM changed body styles in 47.

Chevrolet often changed models after mid-year.
