Can anyone tell me where it is written about getting a gas tank that will fit outside of the cab?

I've heard that a 1966-ish Mustang tank works well. No personal experience with it.

The Mustang tank will fit between the frame rails in the rear with the fill neck through the bed. There are numerous aftermarket aluminum tanks available as well.
The spare tire will have to be mounted somewhere else, however.
