Does anyone know if the driven gear for a PTO will fit either side of the trans, I need a left side PTO for my 630?

Thanks,

Ed

Hy EdPruss, The first indication would be if both sides of the transmission housing were the same distance/shape in relation to the shaft.

I wonder if the rotation would be different on one side?

No, rotation would be the same. Think about the position of the PTO. You're just rotating the assembly around the transmission countershaft axis and mounting on either side of the tranny. The only way it would be different if you pointed the PTO output toward the back instead of to the front.

If you're smart enough to take it apart, you darn well better be smart enough to put it back together.
