So I get these new pads,reassemble linkage and try to bring pad assembly up to wheel cylinder...ebrake rod prevents reaching cylinder adjustment rod slots ?

okay,maybe the cylinder needs to adjust to it...

but the drum will not go on?
try adjusting eccentric on ebrake linkage to no avail.
what the heck am I missing....

I'm probably missing something obvious

Make sure ebrake link slot that goes across has the shoe sitting in the slot of that linkage. if not then shoe sticks out too far for drum to go on

double checked that, it is where it belongs

I have found that a lot of the replacement Huck shoes have too thick of lining.
You may need to have a little of the lining removed at a brake shop.
I usually use the thicker shoes on the front as there is no e'brake linkage there and this allows them to fit.
I will then use good used on the rear if I have them.

ahhh, that may be the issue,I will put old ones back to test theory, maybe only use use one of the new on the front side(which seems to wear faster)

so I put older pads on, got it assembled and everything fits,but now back to issue with getting enough throw out of ebrake .

hopefully my helper will be able to help me bleed brakes soon,she fell and broke her foot.
