Hi guys,
I got a 1958 Chevy Viking 60. I was wondering if Lmc or someone has a catalog with parts for my truck? Or if the half ton truck seals(fender seals,fire wall,door,windows,etc) are the same for the 2 ton trucks? I also need new windows, brake cylinders, gas tank(behind the seat) ,bench seat. Thanks for any help. Brandon

welcome to the garage Brandon - there aren't any catalogs specific to the big bolts - you'll find that anything related directly to the cab [seat, gas tank, windows, doors, dash] and many/most things under the hood will be the same for any size conventional cab truck - chassis/brake parts will be harder to come by except for good used, but some folks here may have leads for specific items

I bought the gas tank, (same size for pick-ups,as well as big Bolts),from L.M.C.,as well as the fuel pump.I believe that all of the external engine parts are interchangeable between the 235,and the 261.There are several different warehouses that supply a vast amount of parts for our trucks,even though they're geared more toward our little cousins. A great source for engine questions/parts,as well as intake/header-exhaust,(if interested),is Patrick's Antique Performance,Casa Grande,Az. I called them with my engine #'s,and found that I have a 235 head,and a 261 block. My engine is also S.C.O.,which means it doesn't use an oil-filter. I asked them if they had a by-pass system available,and instead of trying to sell me their kit,(one is available),the guy said,"How old are you?" I replied,"55". He said:"That truck is older than you are,and it's been doin just fine without an oil filter,so why add one now?! That's what I like about these guys! TRUE STOVEBOLTERS! They are more than happy to help you with your project,but they won't try and sell you something you don't really need! Another great source for engine and cab-parts is Jim Carter. I usually shop between all the "Jobbers" I mentioned. They all provide great service,as far as my experience. Hope this helps.

Just thought I chime in on the gas tank topic. The pickup truck tank (17.5 gallon) will work in any of the different size trucks as you mentioned, however the really big bolts (56-59 Series 7, 8, 9 & 10) had a 21.5 gallon tank. It has a different pickup/sending unit, longer hold down straps and a different filler neck.
