For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 96 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 96 | Anyone around the dallas area know a good place to get some soda blasting done. i've found some for sand blasting but nothing for soda. also about how much to get a whole cab blasted? | | | | | | Anonymous Unregistered | | Anonymous Unregistered | The soda blasting seems to have caught on well with the sailing and power boating segment. Try calling some marinas to see if they can refer you to someone.
I also recall on a Rides show that Unique Performance there in Farmers Branch used a soda blasting outfit to do their mustang bodies. Give them a call and see if they will give you a name and number. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 442 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 442 | Ive seen ads in the Ft Worth Star-Telegram for blasting, closer to FT Worth than Dallas area, I did recall a number of years ago, a place around Cedar Hill, or Desoto. check Hemmings, may be in there.. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 442 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 442 | I found this ad today, for the Dallas/Ft Worth area........ I haven't used them but you might want to get a price from them. 940 458 3326

Anyone have any luck with a liquid paint stripper? A stipper that is eco-friendly? | | | | | | Anonymous Unregistered | | Anonymous Unregistered | If the funds are tight and if you are working the truck panel by panel, just use a knotted wire wheel on your grinder. It will take the paint off in a hurry after which you can use a DA sander to scuff the surface for a good profile before priming. Just remember to use a face shield, gloves and a respirator mask. | | |
