Those are excellent! I made mine from an old belt not nearly as nice as those but functional. They keep your hands from pulling on the door latch which weakens it or the door sill which soils it. I've since replaced them with these as pictured below: These are from a buick with the same spacing as our AD's and are very sturdy. Second picture. Third picture.

The auction site said Buick but my only concern was that the mountings were the same on center distance as our dedicated threaded inserts in our doors. So, I'm thinking any early 50's Chevy, Pontiac, Olds or Buick from that era would be a candidate. I just made sure to ask the seller the on center spacing measurement before I committed to buy.

Look very simular to origional.just have to measure the mounting bolts from centre to centre.
