I think this would be very helpful has anyone used this?
Would you recommend it?

It does work to shrink the high spots but I have found it to be very slow going. You would use the disc if you did not want to use any body filler. I bought mine from one of the members on the site listed below. I don't remember his name for sure (John Kelly ?) but questions on this site will bring a response from him. He was able to do magical things with metal with this tool (and he could also pick, hammer, and shrink - without the tool). It dries harder and does not absorb moisture. It's also harder to work with and more expensive. Usually used in an area that may encounter moisture, possibly from the back side. Unnecessary in normal body work.
You can make a shrinking disc from a stainless lid for a cooking pan. I think John Kelly has some information on his site. | | |
