Next on the "to do" list front disc brakes and dual MC under floor board. 1954 3100 6 lugs ....is there just one kit or do I order the MC separate? Who's would you recommend? Bolt in of course, no cutting up the truck. Open drive line SM 430 transmission. 15 inch wheels....235 engine. Thanks !

15 inch wheels may be an issue. I had to do some grinding on my calipers to make 16's fit without rubbing.

Several suppliers have kits. I put my own together through my FLAPS.

Thanks...if we keep our brake shoes and change to original mount (under floor) and new dual MC would a booster help? There are many "kits" out there but which will work and bolt in? We were told a booster would need engine vacuum where would we pull that from? Do we need a booster?

I put under the floor master-cylinder in my 1953 Howard Knapp truck....I have a ton pictures on my photo bucket page...I would go with one that mounts to the firewall..they are a pain to bleed them with the master cylinder under the floor...I had to cob up a door in the floor pan so I could bleed them...CPP has a decent bolt in kit...they don't stock much tho...be prepared for a 3 or 4 week wait time for it to arrive...

Yes I picked up vacuum from the intake manifold...

New vintiques steel wheels will clear the calipers...they are 15" that I used...

If you are looking for the "clean under hood look" then the under floor system is the way to go. Thousands of them sold and installed with few if any complaints. The under hood option is easy to do and hanging the pedal(s) is pretty straight forward.
