High time we started a discussion for 2016 Tri-State.

The show site is not yet updated ...

I'll be there. Apparently with Doc Toddy as my swamper smile

In talking with John V, we've been asked to put on a seminar. Any volunteers to do something like a timing or valve adjustment seminar? I'll volunteer Charlie ... Other ideas?

Who's in?

Talking to the wife now about it. You can use my truck for demo. Sweet can teach proper start up of engine that has been sitting.

Well if Chris is bringing his project I will have to get off my porch and come along. Need to see what happens.

Yes sir. I also hope one brother from the north brings a brand new engine ready to fire. I would like in addition to the timing/valve seminar with Grigg do a "get the engine running" demonstration.

Finally, with permission of Chris and Joe, I will disable both engines and have teams try and revive them.

Thoughts?

Sweet,

I would be good with that, as long as the wife is still good with me coming up. I will also need to find a trailer to tow her up on. Also, better to have the inner fenders removed or in place?

FYI, if I come up, then I will only be there on Saturday.

Chris

Can someone explain to me the details of the Tri-State Show? I have lots of parts to sell and need to know if it will be worth it to bring it all up on my trailer to Winchester from Virginia Beach to sell in the swap meet. Are there a lots of people that go there looking for parts?
Also, what's the deal with the "projects" which you are talking about?
What's the camping situation?

Sounds like you guys plan on having a good time.....again.
And, I'm going to miss out.....again.
The blue grass festival I attend every year (camping in Doughboy) and the Winchester event conflict.
Hope to see you all soon. Have fun and be safe!

Good to go, Chris! Look forward to seeing you there.

Carl ... There is a Swap Meet. Iffy as to whether or not it will be good to sell at or not. This is mostly a big truck kinda event, but lots of little trucks show up, too. Still fun. So hard to tell you what to do about that. ...

Camping is great -- bring your tent and join camp stovebolt. Just be sure to check in with the Camp Commandant (Billy) for the low down. There is a camping fee at registration but it's not much. We arrange the RV's and the tents in a big Horseshoe with the Stovebolts across the opening. It's fun.

Maybe I'll just load up the bed with parts, leave the trailer at home, and see how it goes.

I have a few questions for everyone...

1. I may have my neighbor with his autistic son. His son loves old trucks...anyone willing to give this young man a ride around the block?

2. Since I will be arriving on Saturday morning and you all will probably be out of beer, what kind do you want me to bring up? I gotta pay my dues to the ODSS for all the help you guys have given me!

Absolutely!

The awesome thing about the show is the fact there is room to do just that, drive stuff. Between naked trucks, tractors, trucks of all sizes, heck last year I drove a Mule, a military "cart", basically it looks like plywood with wheels.

Had all the brothers on board, took an evening patrol. Had a blast.

I'm sure your buddies son will find something he likes.

Phillip, I just can't believe you'd rather go to a BOOK CLUB MEETING than to be with your home-boys pullin' down some good beer. Is it payback for yor wife holdin up that fender?

It sure looks like a nice truck. I wouldn't be in a rush, take your time and get it all back together real careful so you only have to do it once.

There was a little nip in the air yesterday morning but not as chilly as Fulks Run.

Looking forward you getting away and chilling out. Been a busy summer.

Well now. Maybe time to get serious about this. I am driving from SOMD on Friday AM - through F-Burg. Hope to make camp around midday. Thinking I might have some stores in the cooler to fill in some of the holes in the chow plan.

Looking forward to an awesome weekend. I will have the usual burgers and dogs for all. I will pick up some munchies too. Hopefully we can get Artie too make his work famous chili...hint hint.
