Are all three lines the same size? If so, a standard inverted flare tee fitting will work, but you might have to get a little creative when attaching it to the frame. I'd use a small U bolt that would straddle the fitting.

....I think the block he needs is 1/4" going in and 3/16" on the other two. I have one if I can find it to double check if he needs me to.

Let us know the hose and hard line sizes. A lot of us have a few of them sitting in a coffee can in the shop.

I believe the tee from the middle of the frame is a 3-way 1/4" item. The one at the front crossmember will be the 1/4" to 3/16" one that branches to both front flex lines.

The earlier AD's with Huck brakes used different sized lines, and therefore T junction blocks than the later Bendix brake system.
I ran into that when I ran a drill through the frame of my '49 and punched all the way through it into the T fitting. I thought, no sweat, I have an extra one from my '52. No dice. Different size fittings. BTW, Bendix showed up on 1/2 tons in 1951.

True.......^^^^^
Page 235 of the Feb 2016 catalog has the fittings with original part # as a reference...........assuming the system is still stock.

A 7/16 x24 bolt may fit it, but it is not the correct nomenclature for that fitting. Its plumbing. Plumbers speak their own language. They only care about the size of the hole in the pipes.

Edelman part #130444 "Inverted Flare Union Tee". It won't have the bolt hole, but it will join three 1/4" OD brake lines correctly.

1951 3100

Just finished all new hoses and steel brake lines. On mine, there are two tees. One is on front right passenger side frame rail, right ahead of the rear engine crossmember, has three outlets, all are the same, for 3/16" steel brake lines, (I guess these would be 3/8-24 thread). Other tee is on passenger side also, right behind transmission crossmember, but it has two 3/16" outlets, and one 1/4" outlet. Both tees have the 1/2-20 shaft that sticks through the frame rail for a nut and lockwasher. According to my Chevy Service Manual, all brake lines are 3/16", except the line coming from the master cylinder, which goes to the rear tee to feed everything, and it is 1/4", (the master cylinder outlet is 1/4" also). Once I mounted all the brakes hoses, measured what lengths I needed, $40 worth of steel lines from Napa, I have all new brake lines, front to back.
Very very simple to do. For my peace of mind, I did use the coated clamps everywhere the line clamps to the frame. Positioned all so there is no chance of rubbing the frame anywhere, and the lines can't rub in the clamp.

The Factory Assembly Manual has real good pictures showing all of this in case you're not sure of the routing. I did not know what a FAM was or that it even existed, until somebody on here said something about one. Can't do without now. They were correct on one thing about it though....there is no index, table of contents, nothing.....just start flipping pages.

Mike
