I recently changed on my '47. I supported the cab with a hydraulic jack to keep the weight off the mount. I presume you undid the brackets on the frame and body and then removed the shackle unit to rebuild it off the truck. At first I thought I could do it on the truck but re-read my shop manual. However some people are telling me that it could cause more problems than it is worth to do it. Any comments? | | |
