So theoretically it should it be possible for I6 starter to be used in a V8 app. The stomp would need to be massaged to fit the V8 and V6 switch would be required?

It can be made to look almost original. The switch will energize the solenoid of the V8 starter. I think somebody wrote a tech tip on that some time ago. Jerry
