A tractor starter button that fits perfectly into the hole in the floor, machined an adapter to mount the original peddle to the switch, shortened the rod to compensate for the height of the switch and there it is. I think it will pass for original with the carpets and padding in place. It's a switch for a Case/IH tractor.

The IH switches generally have a taller button shaft.
I machined the cap to mount the shortened Chevy shaft so it was just about line to line with the push button so it was very snug and then put a #8 set screw in the side.
