Does anyone know if new drip rails for a 46 can be obtained?

I have not seen them but that does not mean they don't exist. I ended up just taking them off my 37 as they were in pitiful shape.
I've considered a chrome drip rail off a later model Chevy but can't remember which model had the one that came across and down the back of the door some. I ended up just leaving my bare.

the 41 only had one partially attached. It may do without also.
I am using a cab from a 1 1/2 ton. Serial num is 9YR0? 7790.

Going on a 46 3/4 ton frame. Titled 46.

Did all trucks have insulation behind the back inner walls? My 42 did not. Maybe the mice did a good job using the seat material.

I mentioned it to a friend a few years ago and he said to go check out a full size blazer. So I looked at my 86 GMC just setting in my yard and yes chrome drip rails just bolted on. Sometimes thing are just to close.

You could make your own. It would require only basic sheet metal skills. First, remove the old ones and clean up the surface. Then get a sheet metal shop to fold you a piece a bit longer than you need. It will be similar to a Z shape cross section. Then carefully curve to the shape of the door opening. You can do this using heat, or a tool called a shrinker/stretcher. Care will be needed. When the piece fits,trim to length. The innermost edge of the Z may need trimming slightly. Then stitch weld into place using short welds about 5/8" long along inner edge. Mine turned out very well.

Lugnut, good alternative but not after chrome rails. realstealer, good suggestion and I do know a fabrication shop that could make the bend but I am past that now but will keep in mind for the next.

I got both lower front cowl corners today from TSCoachworks so I have some more work to do next week.

On the 42 I finished it had both rails of which before the primer sealer I caulked both on top like a later model as well as the bottom of the belt on the cab.
