Looked where the pedal shaft exited through floor, found the guide which was originally 3/4" hole was now a 1" hole and all wallowed out. I cut out a piece of steel drilled 3/4", welded it onto existing worn out plate and all is good. BUT....I found my front brake shoe lining cracked in two places...what causes the brake lining to crack? The drum was not scored and the front shoe was ok just the rear shoe lining was cracked in two places...new brakes going on Tuesday at local brake shop?
