It has one left tail light for running and brake.
I am considering putting turn signals onto it. Did these trucks have that option available ? Does anyone know where I can see pics of the parts that I'll need to do the install?

There was no factory-option turn signals in 1950, but there were GM accessory turn-signal switches/lamps (very rare).
Parts vendors sell right rear lamps and hangers.
Some vendors sell turn-signal switches (look in "Links"). The can be used with 6v or 12v bulbs.
