| | | | Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 48 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 48 | Hello all, I own a 1936 Chevy pu, however this is a problem with my other car; It is a 1973 Buick 455 motor & it started missing & then died & will not restart; I have power thru the resister & both posts on the coil but nothing to the distributor; Thinking the wire from the coil to the dist. was bad I replaced it to no avail. I connect a jumper direct from battery to distributor & it burns the wire into. I then took dist. apart & insulator & all looks good. Near as I can tell, the dist. is shorting out.
