I found a good deal on a 52 Chevy 4000 series truck.I need an actual width measurement of the frame tunnel on the bottom of the cab. I have a 93 Chevy K3500 chassis I want to put the cab on if I can do it without cutting the cab. Can anyone help?

Frame rails are 36" outside to outside and begin to taper in part way under the cab.
The cab is about 3-4" wider than the frame at the back edge where it nestles around the frame.

You should also measure the width of the front axle/tires and compare that to original, the newer model truck will be wider and even if it might just fit it will look a little strange with tires trying to get out of or already escaping the fenders.

Not worried about track width at all. Its a 4x4 so its going to have monster tires on it anyway. That's why I'm going with a big bolt with its large wheel openings.My dually frame is 46-1/4" inches wide under the cab...would like for someone to actually measure one.

It may fit if you set the cab above the frame.
Knowing the original frame is 36" I'm sure a 46" frame won't fit in the same place without trimming at least the back of the cab/corners.

I measured my 55 2nd series and the frame on it is 34" and the cab opening is 47". Quite a bit wider than the stock frame and it would work. Was hoping the earlier cabs were that much wider than the frame also.

I'm sure the AD frames are 36" for 3/4 through 2 ton trucks.
