In my searches I have not found info on where to get non-stainless steel bolt kits for my 49 1/2 ton. Can anyone help? THX

The Filling Station (541) 258-6968 has Zinc and cad hardware kits.

What do the screws look like that hold the window frames to the regulators in a 1950? Mine are missing and I think I'll end up grinding down the heads of some 1/4" flat heads but there isn't much room in there.

Scotts Super Trucks has Cad. Bought the bedwood and bed to frame bolt kit, very complete and good prices. Just Curious, why don't you want SS?

Sorry it took so long to get back to you all. I need almost every bolt for the body as most where damaged during desassemble.
As for stainless I have heard about corosion issue with the steel parts and I would think the steel would be much less costly. Is $300 normal for a complete kit? THX for the responses. Hope to get the truck back together in the next couple on months. Of course it was suppose to be done by now

there can be galvanic reaction between the ss bolts and the plain steel parts - helps if ya use some Never-seeze on the threads - the main problem is the ss bolt and nut will 'weld' itself together, but of course if ya do a good job in the first place you should never have to take it apart again!

300 sounds steep for the cad plate, but maybe ball park for ss

Door Screws (original type) for door control, striker, and window regulator are sold by
Chevy Duty. Part number: 18-921 for clutch head, Part number 18-922 for Phillips.

Phillips Flat Head Screw with star washer: Part no. 18-911

Each of these vendors should be able to get you as-original bolts/screws for all parts of your truck. You can download Chevy Duty and Jim Carter's catalogs online; you don't even have to wait for the mail!

There are others, but these were the ones I had handy. Good luck!

ia49 get an ARP catalog, they have every kind of bolt known to mankind, maybe a bit expensive but top quality.
