The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Driveline 3600 disc brake question

Been hunting (and reading on this site) for a disc brake conversion for my '51 3600 and came upon this kit from Street Rod HQ which I guess is also Chevies of the 40s.

Fit List says it works on 3600s among others but also lists 3100s which to my knowledge can't it can't do both.
Gonna call them to verify that info but was curious if anybody here had any first hand knowledge of this product. Any input appreciated.

The Chevs of the 40's kit does not work with 3600 or 3800. I checked on it for a customer and that why we made our kit.

Thanks Grigg and Dave for the responses. Dave I have seen your ad and at first was gonna go that direction. But I neglected to mention in my post that now I'm going to swap out my Eaton 4.56 rear end to get closer to 3.55 or 3.70. That means I'll probably end up with a 5 bolt wheel and want to match that on the front end. That's why I was looking at the Chevies of the 40s product. Guess I'll have to do more research and probably some fabbing. Any other tips?

If your using the 3600 front axle then your not going to be able to do 5 lug without swapping axles. You can get a 14 bolt or a Dana rear that should fit that has Bendix drum brakes or disc brakes and a good ratio

Use Dave's kit up front and swap a 14 bolt in the rear.
Keep your 3/4 ton truck a 3/4 ton and keep all 8 lugs.

Much reading about the rear swaps in the one ton section, it applies equally well to your 3/4 ton.
