The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop Front End Reassembly

Has anyone ever seen a video or found an article with pictures of the reassembly of the front end? Fenders, fender skirts, grill, hood, etc. My shop manual does a pretty good job of laying out the order of things, but sure would like to see the job in photos or video if possible before beginning.

I just put it together and take it apart two or three times till I get it right.
I find It takes about as much time doing it that way as it does looking for short cuts on youtube...
Of course ymmv.

Some people assemble it as a unit and then bolt it on, I have never tried that way.
I assembled mine to this point.

Then added each fender and shimmed as needed to cab. Then I installed the hood.

Left everything loose when I the installed the repop grill (trust me it all needs to be loose). leaving head light buckets out allows you easy access to radiator support and fender braces.

Install hood latch and filler, finish all misc and adjust hood (read the Tech Tip) and use another person to help.
