The pedal is approximately 1" from the floor when released and seems to go to full throttle. How far away from the floor should the pedal be when released? Doesn't seem to have much throttle travel? Had to bend the rod slightly so that it would not bind on the hole through the floor board. Any ideas or suggestions?

Are you using the original bell crank and have it installed correctly? (I don't know if it is possible to instal it wrong.) Something isn't right. Carl
